As an experienced qualitative and ethnographic field researcher (PhD), Emma offers bespoke research packages for the evaluation of arts programmes. She can work with your existing programme, develop research questions and strands of enquiry where necessary or conduct qualitative research for the evaluation of arts programmes.
In addition to her work at doctoral level, Emma has worked on several Creative People and Places (CPP) ACE-funded projects, evaluating and collecting meaningful data which has produced enhanced and refined knowledge on: audience participation, definitions of quality (of the arts offer), decision-making, definitions of ‘art’ and comparative experience of small and large-scale arts events.
